Water

Gone is water,
Borrowed by many a dry cloud,
That aimlessly scatter,
Yet do not thunder loud.

Waves that once kissed this shore,
Have vanished into obscurity,
And these eyes cry no more,
For they remain eternally thirsty.

Parched land, blistered lifeless,
Finds no reason for such fury,
As patience fail to harness,
Hopes that break in a hurry.

The verve of sustenance,
Shall no longer bleed,
And for all the irreverence,
Will not quench the greed.
