Unclipped Flight

You should have clipped those wings,
That shall spread to soar,
Fallen and risen through destiny’s swings,
I cannot but find a shore.

Forever I could be in the nest you built,
That which was once a home,
But all I have is guilt,
And everything seems gone.

But my freedom was your sacrifice,
You let me fly never to be back again,
And today when you are in pain,
I do not spare even an  advice.

Perhaps you should have let me be,
Forever with you until eternity,
With liberty I am yet not free,
Having lost all humility.

I have a nest that just does break,
Cannot withstand a bout with breeze,
Nevertheless I have learnt to forsake,
For this too shall pass like a sneeze.
