Stagnant wherever they are,
Locked-up in a glass jar,
Some living a state of denial,
Finding every reason menial,
Others waiting to betray,
With tastes that never stay,
Indeed what a lie,
Is the life of a candy.
Every belief breathing a bubble,
Trying to survive every stumble,
A voice that begs to be chosen,
And the choice to remain unbroken,
An unsure today promising a tomorrow,
For there are many to borrow,
Indeed what a lie,
Is the life of a candy.
All color and sweetness,
That suffers with emptiness,
Shall eventually be consumed,
Perish they will as doomed,
And there shall be another jar,
Stagnant wherever they are
Indeed what a lie,
Is the life of a candy.
